In her video, she expresses her concerns about the charter school for the deaf, Jean Massieu Academy in Arlington, TX. The state government made an order for this school to close based on the students' poor academic performance. In my opinion, their theory is proven wrong because JMA is following their state guidelines and standards for the curriculum and they are using IEP for their students' goals. I disagree that this school should close because their high standards are already met.
In her video, she tells the biblical view of the greatest deliverance of all. Also, she shares her perspective of Jesus' background from reading the bible and Christians who told stories. The history of the new testament is revealed in her video.
In her video, she shares Christians' experience with salvation through Jesus Christ. Her video is based on the biblical view on salvation from God. It is interesting to know that the Christians sprayed, "Jesus Saves", with the paint on the walls in downtown. It is a good thing that it is now against the law to make graffiti on the walls.
In her video, she has an idea on how to prevent a major screw up from the paparazzi for the famous people. Britain's Princess Diana encountered problems with the paparazzi, which resulted severe consequences in her life. So, her idea is for us to have an organization which could protect the celebrities' privacy rights against the paparazzi. An organization could create new laws and codes, which could enforce against them. Perhaps they could ask the celebrities if they want to be contacted by the paparazzi for the interview, picture-taking, and/or filming. They need to respect the famous people's privacy, if they do not want to be contacted. Also, if they are willing to be contacted, then they could tell where they can meet like at the studio, cafe, and/or trailers, etc., and where they could not meet. It is best not for them to trespass at their homes so that the celebrities could have full private lives. This video is also for Marlee Matlin, Anthony Natale, and Deanne Bray-Kotsur.
In her video, she suggests that the deaf resources to be in "fair-handling" at all centers. Some of the centers do not have enough resources on Deaf culture and ASL. Also, some of the hearing professionals hand in the information on oral programs and cochlear implants instead of deaf and ASL to the parents of the deaf child. They were supposed to be on neutral side and keep the options open on deaf and ASL programs for the parents to choose from. We need to have more resource centers with sufficient information on deaf and ASL.
In her video, she would like for us to establish the Department of Deaf Education at U.S. Dept. of Education, which may enforce with the laws to educate the deaf students. Education for the deaf fell into the category at the Dept. of Special Education. We need to have our own deaf education department in order to deliver instruction to develop the deaf students' skills, which may be equal to the hearing level. Unfortunately, some of the teachers with the Special Ed. degrees often underestimate their deaf students' skills and are delivering the instruction which may be too easy for them. Since the deaf people are as smart as the hearing people, it is important that we have the Dept. of Deaf Education! They might deliver the instruction at the hearing level to the deaf students through effective communication mode - ASL.
Frogger is an individual from mixed educational background in Oral, Total Communication, and ASL programs at mainstreamed and deaf schools. And Frogger says, "I will croak about some of the issues, which I learned from the people and resources through my lifetime experience.
